Hutch----Just from a book I am now reading,, Secrets of the Temple..

You go to the bank and borrow money... Wham , If they give it to you , it now exists out of nothing.. If they don't have the fractional reserve to back the loan , they get it from the fed through the discount window, who also create it out of nothing... If the fed wants to encourage this move on your part they have the tools at their disposal...
I suppose you know all of this and meant something else..

My 2 cents worth..

I totally agree with you that CNBC should do more things like a discussion on how "Da Fed" gets M2 money into the system, etc, etc, etc.
The current version of CNBC is BORING! The old FNN of the 1980's was much better, as they would do more things like you mentioned to Ted.
Sometimes, older versions of things truly are better and much more interesting. Yogi
