According to CNBC and to appear in tomorrow's WSJ, MSFT is taking a 11% stake in a big Brazilian cable company.
MSFT management has a pretty clear vision in terms in making strategic decisions for the long haul and of course to ensure the stock maintains a steady ascend.
If by chance MSFT stock price remains low over a long period of time, they always have options of spinning off divisions or breaking up the company. I am sure BG does not want to be worth less tomorrow than today.
