Opal, I agree with everything you said (especially the murphy part)...

One comment additionally. I havent listened to a ton of conference calls but I have been struck at the ability of good management or a good CEO to make a good showing regardless of the news. Jim Bagley, Andy Grove, and a few others are obvious masters. Jack sounded about like I would have sounded, I think. He sounded like a scientist who wished he was in a lab somewhere doing science. It was a shame really. They need someone who understands the other science....the one of PR. It DOES matter. They flubbed this one really bad.

J

I still can't believe some think Xoma could say more than they did at this point in time! I was just thankful for the EXCELLENT results in my opinion of the Phase III Meningo. trial. I say excellent results because Xoma said it showed clinical benefit in BOTH mortality and morbidity! Now will the FDA think the clinical benefit is high enough for approval? Now that is where things get interesting and I for one am going to buy ALL I can on dips. I am betting that Castello would not say things at this point in time about clinical benefit if HE didn't think the FDA would approve it. Only my opinions. I just can't wait till tomorrow to see if I can pick up more shares on the cheap.
