Luc, it probably means that someone big has been placing a big bet ahead of CPI - or the earlier data were corrupt. if the former should be the case, the markets are in for a big surprise tomorrow and not a good one...i hope that's what it is. note that there was talk today of traders being busy distributing their bond inventory from the auction to unsuspecting retail accounts. it could of course simply be a big hedge as well - which normally is bullish for the bond. i guess we'll know tomorrow....
