OT: Anybody have a clue as to why the SI charts are broken? Two days is enough already. This is getting almost as bad as Yahoo! message boards, in terms of reliability.

With the announcement today of the StrataSwitch chip, I am more convinced than ever that the end is nowhere in sight. As a matter of fact, this is just the beginning.

Intel just won't be able to pull off a competitive position with the low overhead of BRCM (working with a 15% net margin business model is tough in any business) let alone Intel having to face it with their overhead.

Just my opinion, Keith

How long can it go? How about 2002 and beyond. Of course there will be ups and downs along the way but the trend is up. From an old post:

Yes, the Semis are a TABLE-POUNDER!!!
If they are going to run the other cyclicals up then at some point they are going to realize that the Semis are cyclical as well.
...
I think BRCM will be a beneficiary as well. I salivate when I think about where BRCM may be in 2002, how many splits, etc.

Doughboy, FWIW, the $180 target cited in some reports was apparently an error. The official ML target remains $157.
