Good day

As pointed out by many, it is difficult to comment on negotiations both for the sake of the negotiations and for insider information.

However, independent of Wi-LAN and its current situation, the right thing to do is to assume that the information in the most recent press releases is accurate and unchanged.

All the best,

Hatim

Re-reading the recent July 8th press release, I enjoyed this VERY interesting paragraph:

"...today announced that negotiations are progressing regarding the signed non-binding agreements focussed on joint product development and licensing its patented W-OFDM technology. Term Sheets have been drawn up with two separate companies represented within the Fortune 500 listings announced on May 27, 1999. Negotiations are expected to be completed before the end of August, 1999. Confidentiality agreements prevent Wi-LAN from releasing any further details including the names of the companies involved. Discussions with other companies are on-going at this time.

"Although discussions have taken longer than originally anticipated, we are progressing through the processes at hand as quickly as possible with these, large multi-million dollar companies," says Dr. Hatim Zaghloul, President and CEO of Wi-LAN Inc..." etc.
