jd,

Agreed on the DRAM market forecasts, they are all over the board and agreed on commodity nature of RDRAM. Once a meaningful ramp has occurred, then RMBS will bounce all over the chart just like MU does now. Check out the MU chart just the last 9 months. Wow!!

Cool Feedback To My News Updates KH Yeap
Monday, August 16, 1999 (12:38 PM Pacific Daylight Time)
Just got a cool feedback email from somebody in the know regarding some of my earlier news updates. Here's part of his responses:
"Soyo will be sampling a Slot A board in the next week or two. AOpen will have one to sample by Sept 1 (they finally decided to jump in). . . "
"BX chipsets have gone up over $40 because of the shortage. This is up about $10 in the past month. . ."
"I don't know about pressure from Intel - but I can tell you that AOpen doesn't really like Intel that much - they would probably go with the Slot A board just to spite them, if they got pressured... come to think of it, Intel *did* put pressure on them about the AX63 Pro, and now they have a Slot A board coming... hmm!"
"Yes. I was suprised when AOpen told me they would have a sample in Sept. It was only a few weeks ago that they told me they weren't going to do it. Either Intel pissed them off, or the Athlon reviews got them thinking. . ."
"I don't remember if I mentioned it, but both Soyo and AOpen confirmed that the i820 *will* have 133MHz SDRAM support in it. I think DRDRAM is doomed to be a niche player. . ."
