I don't understand why if the GATA people are so smart to be able to figure out the moves of the big boys (GS etc.) why dont they just bet with them instead of against them? Makes no sense to me.

d, please please address this directly to Bill Murphy's last
post on this thread. I am but nothing more than a person that
wishes to see the price of gold go up and blindly follow the
GATA movement. But if they are wrong, and proven so, then I
will not continue echo'ing their message if it is false.

d, as a simple follow up, a simple example.

The magazine, Consumer Report, that takes no advertizing and
will not let companies that it reviewed, as in excellent, to
use the review as referenc in their advertizment.

This magazine comparied to the American car industry is like
a speck of dust, tiny in lawyers and cash, and if they told
not the truth, they would be crushed quickly and easily.

Since they started, their message was American cars sucked
comparied to Japan's. Over and over GM and Ford and the rest
told us over and over, Consumer Report magazine was incorrect,
and their testing was "not the truth".

But they never "stopped" the magazine, or tried, eventho it
cost them millions if not billions in sales over the many years.

If GATA is wrong about Barrick, and GATA has about $75,000
cash reserve, and Barrick has lots of cash, then why has Barrick
not done the easy lawyer paper work to stop GATA ? Also, what
about Goldman Sach, to them its just another day at the office
to decide who to send their extremely able attack lawyers
into "battle". I havn't heard a peep. Why ?

(off topic) advice on ABX asking

<<Barrick's hedging position...they should have read the
recent postings on this thread, including the detailed
description of the hedging program.>>

d, I never held ABX, but recently I advised a person I know
that does, to sell all. He brought in years ago at 30 and
I told him better to get 1/2 back rather than take a chance
that legal problems belly-up and put on hold any chance of
getting a return.

I did read all those posts about hedging, but I seemed to get
the understanding that it was the public view of what Barrick
is doing, given out by Barrick. Your understanding is that
they are on a good and solid and safe path. The information
I have is of the rumor here-say type and not from GATA, and
I was told not to present it public, so if you could identify
the GATA stuff as false or true or needs more investigation,
then I can have the opportunity to advise that person to undo
my advice, and buy ABX back.

thanks
