Really, I am not worrying over him, you kind person. Really. You misunderstand. A very ugly thing happened here, Edwarda. It nags at me. It bothered me greatly at the time, before he became a murderer. It didn't bother me less when he did. I'm through with the subject, though. It was what it was. Whatever the hell that was. I won't post here again. Thanks for your thoughts, and I agree with everything you said. The guy was beyond help. So were his victims.

I said I wasn't going to post here again. But I'm getting PM's that indicate that I have somehow created a misimpression: that I actually believe that Mark Barton and his victims might be alive today, if he hadn't been taunted and ridiculed here when he tried to raise money by selling a part of his body. I don't! Reread my posts, PMers, and you will see that I made entirely clear that i believe he was deranged and beyond help by the time he arrived on SI. In my opinion, nothing anyone who tried to be decent to him here could have helped him or his victims; none of the cruelty here caused the deaths. I hope that's clear. I did pass your message on to Josef, Edwarda, who is the person who left SI in part because of what he witnessed on this thread (he had called it "Clockwork Orange" in a PM to me); and I got this link in return.
