Some of the producers have come to realize that they are mortgaging their future by selling forward in the current market. Unfortunately, there are still many others particularly outside the US, who will sell forward at what they consider an advantageous time for themselves. What they consider advantageous may take into account, local currency rates, need to raise funds etc. It is this availability of gold along with the cb's intent to cap gold prices that may win out once again.
