Yeah, I hope T doesn't have to take on every community in the country to finish this deal. T lawyers are going to be busy until this is finalized. Too many consumer groups and AOL in the background would like to block T.

Despite the nudging from federal courts, T is down. At this stage, I wonder if the DOW at 11000 can stand a rate hike, even one that is well expected? Can it be that T could go lower? Certainly it is tempting to buy some at this level and assume that Mr Armstrong will preform some magic to get the stock back up to levels that will prevent them paying any cash in the Media One deal.

Question is, when will he shoot these magic bullets? The deal is still long off and they might not be looking to generate much attention yet.

Do you think they've done their deals now? Anymore acquisitions on the path? They are buying Rogers' Wireless operations with BT in Canada. With BT as a partner, do they need to look at buying a European wireless company? VodaPhone is the biggest player in the Wireless market, but I'm not sure if this includes a partnership with BT. Is T satisfied not to be number one in wireless?

Anyway, T is a terrible underperforming DOW stock. Can we assume they won't be crushed if the Dow decides to take a 1000 point correction?

Regards,

Mark
