Thanks for the post. One of the significant items in the article is the mention of the working relationship between NaviSite and Engage -- this leverage/synergy is what makes CMGI unique (vs typical VC, mutual fund, or holding company) and shows that value of whole is greater than pieces. It is a unique and interesting business model. Perhaps some of DW comments yesterday that seem to be causing confusion and concern on this board in recent posts (e.g. cmgi just an ipo launch or vc strategy) are not reflected in the cmgi actions and that it is a synergy / operating business plus an ipo launch / vc business. I believe the AV purchase is another example. Let's look at the actions, not just the words. Perhaps yesterday's comments are a case of miscommunication; we have all been there I'm sure.
