Twistee Treat's Canadian Launch a Success

WARRENSBURG, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 1999--Twistee Treat Corp. (OTC BB:TWTE - news), marketers of patented
''Firm-Serve'' ice cream and a variety of other frozen confections, Tuesday reported that its Canadian licensee, Twistee Treat Canada, has
opened its first store near London, Ontario, with initial sales volume far exceeding expectations.

The second of 50 company-owned or franchised stores expected to be opened all across Canada will be completed soon, according to Andrew Evans, president of the Canadian
company.

Requests for franchise information have been arriving daily since the company's unique cone-shaped store was opened, Evans said.

The same response has been received by the parent company here in the United States, Stephen B. Wells, Twistee Treat Corp. president, said, adding that he has more than 75
inquiries from potential franchisees now in hand.

The company offers marketers its standard circular, cone-topped, free-standing store, plus a kiosk model for malls, airports and college campuses, and a mobile version for fairs and
athletic venues. It will also open soon its first ''Express Grill,'' a fast-food restaurant seating 35 with a drive-through lane.

All are available for franchising, Wells said, and the company will be opening more company-owned stores as rapidly as its resources will permit.
