New team can't stop Harvey hemorrhages

By Susanne Ault

HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Harvey Entertainment Co. (Nasdaq:HRVY - news) Monday reported lower revenues and wider losses, as its
new management team attempts to turn the struggling firm around.

Harvey, home to such cartoon characters as Casper the Friendly Ghost and Baby Huey, reported net loss of $2.02 million in the second
quarter ended June 30, nearly double its $1.2 million year-ago loss. Revenues fell 14% to $316,000.

A major financial rescue effort took place in April when a group of investors, including former Live Entertainment chairman Roger Burlage, Michael Burns, Ken Slutsky and the Kushner-Locke Co. (Nasdaq:KLOC - news) bought an equity stake in Harvey for $17.7 million.
Burlage joined Harvey's management team. The group is developing home video, TV and film products.

''We are actively marketing these characters and entertainment concepts to a range of potential partners,'' Burlage said. ''Based on initial
response, we are optimistic regarding our prospects, but remind shareholders that the development of entertainment projects is a
time-consuming process.''

When KLOC has nothing better to do than giving away monies there and teams up with former Livent(remember that!) LVNTF boss, then, together with operating losses at both KLOC and SRCH on declining revenues this is a GT0.
