Sonic Foundry [SFO] makes the software based "Music Jukebox" for MSFT new Windows Media Audio format launched today. This is big news for SFO.

I met with representatives of Sonic Foundry several months ago and looked over their product line. Now understand that this companies primary business is making software for professional engineers and musicians. They are well-respected in the professional audio and recording industries. . .as they provide excellent digital audio products and signal processing plug-ins.

Their revenue base is rooted in the pro-audio industry. This MSFT notoriety, opens a NEW market to Sonic Foundry. I don't know what the revenue stream might be from this, but I would guess it to be similar to ADBL and RNWK, with regard to being a standard component to Windows.

Now here is what I like best about SFO. . . . Float = 1.1 mil shares. When it ran to 20 earlier in the year, the volume was still only 400k. If this stock ever gets a million share day or a mention on CNBC, it could become a rocket, IMO, based on that tiny float.

The part I like the least is that it trades on the Amex.

I bought a few shares today on speculation based on this Microsoft news.
