I have to admit I probably would feel uncomfortable socializing with a person with plastic on their furniture. It's snobbish, but I always try to tell the truth on SI.

Most of the people I know with money I would divide into two camps, those who like to show it off, and those who don't. The ones who don't show it off usually have more of it, and have had it for longer, I agree. With experience, I think one learns that spending money on show is counterproductive in the long run.

As for the educated class, we have more fun, I think, and technically are probably in a higher economic class, but I don't know any that are actually rich, unless you would classify a family income in the range of $80 to $150K as rich.
