ROUND ROCK, Texas, Aug. 17, 1999 -- Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq: DELL) continued to grow faster
than the industry across its business, leading to record operating results in the fiscal second quarter. Overall,
earnings per share rose 58 percent, to 19 cents, for the period ended July 30, as quarterly revenue increased 42
percent, to $6.1 billion.

Congratulations to Michael Dell. He finally gave the street something to party about.

Overall, earnings per share rose 58 percent That should be good enough for the "what happen to the 50% growth rate" crowd. I guess my DELL shares are safe from the tax man this year. Also, comment about Y2k FEAR diminishing, is good to hear.
