Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:DELL - news) announced today that Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc., the American distributor of Toyota Motor Corporation, has chosen Dell as its corporate standard for desktop PCs, servers and storage over the next three years.

...In addition, Dell will provide a suite of services including installation, customized invoicing and reporting, DellPlus custom
software application, Dell's Employee Purchase Program and a customized Dell Premier Page(sm). Dell Financial Services L.P.
(DFS) also will manage the recycling of TMS' old PCs and related equipment at 67 regional offices across the United States
through its Asset Recovery Program.

''Dell was able to provide an end-to-end customer solution customized to fit Toyota's needs,'' said Joe Marengi, senior vice president and general manager of Dell's Relationship Group. ''We are working with them in every aspect of this relationship, from removing and recycling their old equipment to storing and transferring their data onto the new machines.''

To assist with the disposal of the old equipment, Dell developed custom databases to store TMS' critical data during the hardware transition. DFS provides comprehensive reporting on the status of the disposed equipment and payments to TMS for any equipment with remaining market value.
