I use SP-500, Naz Comp and (most definitely) NYSE Tick 5-min charts to time trades. When I was day trading the Dow Industrials, used that index in place of the SP but doesn't make much sense recently as 95% of trades have been Naz since 7/01.

Also follow numbers on bond yield, advance/decline for both NYSE and Naz and the Rut2 (probably because my self-directed IRA has a large small cap exposure <g>).

I'm extremely very options-stupid so I ignore them like they don't exist.
