From the perspective of statistical significance, this not a difference that makes a difference. I do not know how BB would view this but from any perspective I can imagine, this is "the area of the old high."

Bob did say to focus on the DOW. But he also said that if the DOW returned to the area of the old high but the S & P failed to return to its previous number, that would not be a good sign with respect to the bull continuing.

If the current market process is a top in progress, then this time period will be much discussed and analysed in the future.

I propose a pool: Name the exact day the market hits that inflection point. (Employees of Robert J. Brinker Investment Advisory Services, Ltd. not eligible.) The winner gets to purchase 100,000 shares of
Bre-X (there must be gold somewhere in Bornio).
