fred, i, like you am in this for a while
my broker shorted for me at the open and upwards, legally
i have made price predictions as well, not spurious, but to correspond with my opinions--NETP is one example, there are others
there i predicted 18-20 at IPO when it was 28
i predicted 14 in 20's, then 11 +/-1 for one week later
i had no position there, i have a current short position here

my background, business, is in software services
and i understand a little about the IPO 'process'
my previous post addressed the 'market pentration' question
there appears to be a significant 'gap' between valuation and price imo
and i try to keep the company/product separate in my mind from price
regards
ynot ;)
