Glad to have you back, t2k :) I wonder where all those market timing short players went? I'm sure they'll be back to tell us how they covered when the Market bottomed and how they went long yesterday in expectation of a favorable CPI Report <ggg>.

Well Teflon, Overall i had small losses on my shorts--early gains led to recent losses. I kept trying a bit too long. On the other hand, my exit out of the market was an incredibly lucky move back in mid July.
Overall, getting out of the market (especially selling my calls on MSFT) made me a lot of money..

Therefore, I don't really regret playing the market short as i had a chance to learn how the market behaves after about a 10% or so decline. It bounces back!!

Now i am looking for a good week going long. By the end of next week, i might be out again. I am referring to my long term portfolio which is where i have most of my cash. The trading account (in which i short trade) is really not that large.

I am going to bet on internet stocks along with techs.
Amazon looks good to me---i finally went long today.
