Well, if that is the case then AMAT should have worked harder at it for this reporting quarter. Instead of doing a quarter turn in business (booking and billing in same quarter), the company should have foregone the billing and kept the booking so as to increase bookings for the quarter to make the street happy <VBG>. After all, it beat the revenue and earnings number hands down. Let's face it. AMAT is a victim of its own efficiency in converting to a just-in-time model with a 3 - 3 1/2 month turnaround time and in meeting customer demands for earlier delivery.

The street has pretty much discounted this bookings event IMO given the poor market action in the stock this past week in the face of the Needham report.
