OT

Whatever happened to the female lawyer who had some wild-looking stuff in her personal profile. Can't remember her name but she wasn't afraid of a fight.

>>>>You should try it (going long) sometime. <<<

Doooh, Homer, you should read my track record, i don't only short and I have been long since last week if you have read my posts.

>>>>been net long for more than a week . .. . If you've been in the right stocks<<<<

I'm talking swings here, not long term positions this is not a thread for buy and holders ---- and the FEW and the proud that were in those stocks thru thick and thin were the mini-mim, that guessed right.

>>>>The Dow based at 10,549 for this go round. That was hardly enough to impact the portfolio of anyone<<<

Who the hell owns the Dow, the advance decline line shows that most investors and mutual funds are going nowhere for 1999, unless you are the few and the proud and in the right sector and in the right stocks of that sector.

Gary, Calling propeller beanie bb a bear

is like noting that that Clinton is practicing celibacy. I don't think so. bb and others on this thread are definite switch hitters and will change their opinions and positions on a dime. That's the way it has to be in this game.

It entertains me to hear all the bashing of CNBC. They are simply performing their role as the mouth piece for Wall Street. To take any of it seriously would probably take the same mentality as watching the shows with laugh tracks. Yes, like most of the folks, I keep it muted most of the day, but mostly because I get absolutely bored with the repetition.

Now, I expected a nasty CPI number and it did not happen. OEX closed above a Fib 50% retracement. I got to assume we have a new line in the sand and we're going up! That said, I'm playing extremely short term; but then, I usually do.
