Jay, correcting my prior post, SEG's accrued gain on ALL of its SNDK shares exceeded its report annual income but SEG is selling only a small fraction of their holdings. My earlier statement was not accurate as written and I apologize if anyone was misled by the post.

The fact does remain that SEG's earnings have been erratic -- a $175M gain for the nine months ending Q1/99 and a $552M loss for the same period a year earlier. The ability to add a chunk of change to their bottom line and bank account while reminding the world that they have substantial accrued profits in SNDK might be just what SEG needs at this time to pump their shares up from their current P/E of <7.

I am also extremely curious about the fact that trading in SNDK shares today came to a halt for about 1/2 hour after 1:00pm ... to be followed by a single spike and then very little activity. And why only a brief Reuters note is available with no comment from SNDK after the filing appeared on Edgar?

It should be a very interesting morning. Good luck to all.

Craig
