hard to tell linux in vogue and i haven't studied msft fundamentals

this too shall pass

when folks undertand the 'threads' between the larger systems, service providers, knowledge base, software applications base etc...

funny how apparently the linux evangelists count number of MSFT platforms and assume linux can 'take' a percentage

i might be a dinosaur, but i think of it this way, the app/os/hdwr is like an oreo cookie, hard to change any entrenched component without disrupting the other two

business oreo cookie is the hardest to change, most time, 5 yrs?
consumer oreo cookie has been 'half' munched by java and www :)
why?
java doesn't care, so app developers swinging hard
cost of programmers MUCH lower
java runs server/client, either/or/and
look!
qcharts, realtime tick data
client portion not java, BUT qfeed has api to feed java
cheap, effective, will do well, blows away competitors
can be adapted for EOD date, will errode reuters, bloomberg, etc...
doesn't need OS with java, runs windows
linux on my client for qcharts?
i would like to dump windows, too much stress
linux is not less stress
jmo
ynot ;)
