Good evening Dorine:

I have to admit that I was one of those that bought back sold covered calls and sold out of my Dell position at 41 1/8 after watching Dell tank after earnings for the past two quarters. The internal debate kept raging in my mind throughout the day. The tech sector was hit hard over the past several months. Dell was pretty much flat and unstellar in performance since January of this year. Most of my paper gains for the year was lost due to reversals of fortune with AOL and the like. After being shell shocked, I switched into a more defensive mode wishing to maintain profits and not watch a profit turn into a potential loss, as I did with AOL. To those that have maintained their positions and picked up more, I salute you. Looking for a new entry point. Futures are looking up.

Best of luck to all,

David

Dorine:

You have always been a strong believer in Dell, and nothing to be sorry for wondering what MM is doing to the stock, just look at Fortuna of ML. You probably already know about this link for after hours trades:

Sorry, to break up the party, but I just got online for a minute and saw that the Bay Area (Silicon Valley) had an Earthquake. Having lived through my share of Earthquakes, I can remember how suddenly they hit, out of nowhere. Is everyone okay? I have am very close to people out there and my life is out there... and some of my family is out there... Does anyone have info? Please send me a PM if you have any info. :( Thanks, LW
