LOL! I don't know why it was such a shock to him, except that he'd just done a hard day of work pumping gas, was hot and dirty... and then this horrid icy blast of water came streaming in at him so shockingly. And I didn't stop right away, either. It is possible, I have thought, that I was (unconsciously) expressing anger because I was pregnant and had such awful morning sickness, which I had for nine months, barf barf for nine months straight, and not just mornings, any time, 24 hours a day was barf-time. Now you think my darling husband is mean and has no sense of humor, and that's so unfair. What he puts up with? The man is a saint.
