Mr. Jacobs
I think the reaction from the thread to this latest release was muted because we do not really understand what is being said. I know that I am confused by the PR on several points after having read it several times.

I am encouraged by the fact that Pyng has met one of it's published target dates.

Vancover Investor Forum- April 13,1999

Target Dates:

Complete design of components- 4 months= Aug 13, 1999
Mass production/Strategic Alliance- 6 months= Oct 13, 1999
Commercial Sales- 9 months= Jan 13 2000 ~ on or before Dec 31 1999 stated in the video clip from this conference

PR statements and comments:

"Each company has been requested to do a thorough analysis of the components of the F.A.S.T.1 System and provide detailed quotations inclusive of delivery schedules for production in injection molded components."

It is great that Pyng put the component production out for competetive bid, that means that Pyng has more than one possibility. The fact that delivery dates are requested seems very positive to me. Maybe we can start to take orders once the delivery dates of the winning bid are received. I guess this means that Pyng is going to at least outsource the production of the component parts. Great news. But it appears that Pyng will do the final assembly as the parts delivered are components and not finished product. This means that Pyng is going to have to hire assemblers and have a large enough "clean room" (very expensive I think) to accommodate volume production. Ed help me out, in your visit was the prototype "clean room big enough?

Why has Pyng decided to do the final assembly themselves surely the vendor chosen for the component parts production could do the final assembly more cheaply with existing staff and would already probably have "clean room" facilities.

"Pyng Medical Corp. announces that contracts for this segment of production are scheduled to be in place by the end of August 1999."

I really appreciate the use of a definite date, but this seems risky to me as it assumes the vendor bids will be received in time to evaluate them and make a decision in 15 days. Also does use of the phrase "this segment" mean that there are other unidentified segments? Final Assembly? Others? Which will will have to be bid or staffed up for separately.

I would like to hear others interpretations of these issues.
