After 1 1/2 months, I finally got to reply to your question. Re the concept of the longer the base, the higher the up move, it's probably true. Look at Investor's Corner in today's IBD: "The longer the base, the better the move," Kaltenbaum said. "You can call it the rubber-band effect. The longer you pull the rubber band, the greater the spring." So There!! Someone else besides you believes it. <g>

My comments about stretching the time axis just were referring to the difficulty of coming to any quantitative conclusion in the absence of measurement calibration. P&F charts would be one way to get around this problem.

Now for PSUN....I see no new postings in over a week!...amazing!

Somehow, I turned a blind eye to the early-September trauma (though I kept cursing myself for never having taking my mythical profits at $25 when PSUN repeated failed to break out over $26).

Today looks like 'vindication day'. A decisive breakout, getting to $29+ High on twice normal volume. It's time to wake up and start following PSUN again.
