it is the future earning that makes Q jump so high so fast in six months. That's why I said, "It's the earnings" it is not because Q all of a sudden making money so fast They were making money, but as you pointed out, until the infrastructure business was sold, It was being bled off to cover losses. The april quarterly report was the best one I have ever read.becoming a gorilla over night. Yeah, I had to work for 35 years, and close two business's, before I became an "overnight success" in the Cabinet business! :0) Qualcomm was a potential Gorilla from the start of CDMA. That is why I bought in with all the bucks I had in '93 on the IPO. I got out in '95 when I saw that they had long row to hoe before they were going to take off. I did not understand the term, "crossing the chasm" at the time, but that is what they were trying to do.It is not a single "cross the chasm" event that changes the fate of Q. In January of this year, I looked at the Ericson suit, and said to myself, "If Q can win this suit in Texas, I will buy back in, because the last major problem will be solved." When they won, and I saw what Ericson had agreed to, I could hardly believe it! I kick myself for not buying back in even faster than I did. Brian, the group of people who participate in the "Gorilla and King" thread consider Q to be a textbook example of the development of a Gorilla. I think that the suit settlement will be looked on forever as the turning point. Not only for the final acceptance by Ericson, which, to us, made it "cross the chasm", but also for the sale of the division that freed up enormous cash to go to bottom line. You sure do not want to call Q a gorilla, do you? You will continue to see Q "coming into buying range". You lose me on this comment, Brian. I sure do want to call Q a Gorilla, the best one, IMO, to have your money in at the moment. I see Q as in "buying range" all the way from now to 1000!
