To spare the conquered and vanquish the proud

I still don't get it. What am I missing?

I understand that some of these "clubs" are just larger versions of a local Chamber of Commerce. They are not malevolent.

I don't have money or social status, but I have a cultural consciousness, and I guess a few egocentric vanities. I've already vested myself with a higher mission!

There are means besides money one can use to defend Christendom. A gifted happy few can repel barbarity! But first we'd have to revive Chivalry. The Pagan Left can be sent howling into the wilderness if more young men adhered to the old Crusader code. The following are the ten commandments of the code of Chivalry, which every postulate took an oath to follow before being knighted:

I. Thou shalt believe what the Church teaches, and shalt observe all its directions.

II. Thou shalt defend the Church.

III. Thou shalt respect all weaknesses, and shalt constitute thyself defender of them.

IV. Thou shalt love the country in which thou wast born.

V. Thou shalt not recoil before thine enemy.

VI. Thou shalt make war against the Infidel without cessation, and without mercy.

VII. Thou shalt perform scrupulously thy feudal duties, if they be not contrary to the laws of God.

VIII. Thou shalt never lie, and shalt remain faithful to thy pledged word.

IX. Thou shalt be generous, and give largesse to everyone.

X. Thou shalt be everywhere and always the champion of the Right and the Good against Injustice and Evil.
