The know-it-all I'm married to told me because of the olives I might as well have a Big Mac.
Really? Oh dear. No wonder my diet isn't working. My favorite lunch is calamata olives and feta cheese.
Lots of both.
Nothing else.
Unless it's late in the day on a weekend when I allow myself a cold beer with them.

That's absurd. Olives have unsaturated fat, they're good for your heart. Beef has saturated fat, which isn't. Unless they change that, I can't remember what they're doing now, I think E. is up on it, wracking my brains, nope. E?

At any rate, calorie-wise, even, a few olives are nothing compared to a Big Mac.

I would be surprised if you couldn't buy olives in bulk in a local grocery store. Look in the meat/deli section.
