Don't even think about selling yet.
In fact, today was a nice day to add some shares. I have
bought some shares probably for the final time.
Even the order flattening environment is true as described
by AMAT's conference call yesterday, I believe LAM can
do well compared to other competitors based on
its operational leverage and market share gain. Slowing order was bound to occur. AMAT revenue hit 1.4 billion, which was a record achieved in the last upturn. In order
for it to increase number, overall market must grow at a similar pace.
LRCX revenue number, though much improved, is still
way below from 370 million which is a peak number reached
in the last upturn. While company like AMAT might experience
slowdown in the earning growth for next a couple of Q's,
LRCX can still have fairly good earning growth based on
improved manufacturing efficiency, cost control, and market
share gain especially in the oxide area.
