fwiw,
I'm not shor or long Dell, but thought all here would like to know these thoughts.
I just bought a new computer.
It's a compaq.
My old Packard Bell died - curls of smoke & all.
Dell only sells on line or from phone.
When I called, I could not get through for 14 minutes. As I was about to hang up they finaly came on line, & found out they only wanted to quote me a price on a whole system. wanted to know why I had not ordered on line.

I had bought a new monitor only a month prior to old CPU failure, and speakers I have work just fine.
The were also higher than the Compaq I bought, and it has a local (comp USA) service plan).
