How soft was the ground where the footprint was found?

Could the print be that made by an oversized sandal worn by a little kid walking on soft ground in much the same way that trappers in winter use oversized snow-shoes to prevent sinking into the snow?

However, I have read in "Lemuria --- the Lost Continent of the Pacific" that Lemurians were tall and large-sized people and that their remains may be found in the western states. Could the footprint you mentioned be that of a typical Lemurian?
