I got this off the RB -

ragingbull.com

>>ADEN on the cover of INTER@CTIVE WEEK today...
All those interested, note that Tom Woolston of ADEN/AZUMANO appears on the cover of INTER@ACTIVE WEEK's print edition this week. The complete story (no photo) can be read at interactiveweek.com.

While the AZUMANO business model and the details of Woolston's patents are not discussed at length, the article itself is a fine overview of internet business process patents and what they mean to the internet.

This macro-discussion helps fill you in on our market position as we are poised to introduce our first vertical application of Tom's patents soon. Our intellectual property portfolio is our first line of offense... and a strong element of our value proposition.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I WORK FOR ADEN<<

Again, I work for these guys... but:

Tom's patents are at the core of ADEN's business plan and are the feature behind the company's investor presentation. Their mood is one of missionary zeal, to be frank. And it is catchy in a one-on-one situation. Soon, you'll be pleased to see how we communicate this spirit to the street-level investor and consumer. Soon, I promise.

I work for other companies out there in this space and Mike Luther, Tom Woolston, Sho Dozono (of AZUMANO in Portland) and the other folks assembling in the ADEN tent are the stuff of which big things are made. Tom is simply brilliant. I sat and discussed his patents with him more than five years ago when common response was more like "the INTERWHAT?" Luther is tireless and brings the ability to sell Tom's ideas to the table. And Sho... he's a consummate CEO who adds solid travel services experience to the equation. So, if team means anything at all, I pick these guys.

Again, I work for them. But, from what I see at my desk, I'm not going anywhere. I recognize their potential and I think others on the inside track are seeing it, too. For example, if you track Priceline's S-1 through the three versions it has filed since December 23d, they have gone from dismissing Tom out-of-hand to clearly stating the facts: Tom and the ADEN team are positioned to truly affect PRICELINE.

So even 500-lb gorilla competitors are noticing how big (really big) this thing could possibly be. Watch this space... <<
