Mohan and Ratan:

The Fox (China) invites a lamb (India) for a dinner. The lamb is THE DINNER cooked over a nuclear oven.

The Chinese will be looking for more arable and living space. India may be a good destination. India is not too far off from Tibet. Neat thought.

Renounce N-programme, induction of Agni: China
Beijing, August 18: Reacting to India?s decision to induct the
nuclear-capable Agni-II into its arsenal, China on Wednesday urged
New Delhi to renounce its nuclear weapons programme and induction
of the ballistic missile by implementing UN Security Council
resolution to this effect. ?India should implement UN Security Council
Resolution 1172 in earnest and comprehensively,? Chinese Foreign
Ministry spokesperson Zhu Bangzao said in response to India?s draft
nuclear doctrine and Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee?s
announcement on Independence Day that the government had
decided to induct Agni-II into its armed forces.

?On the South Asian nuclear issue, the Security Council
unanimously adopted by consensus resolution 1172, which reflects
the will and embodies the position of the international community,?
Zhu said here. As a permanent member of the Security Council,
China has all along believed that the Council resolution should be
strictly observed, he said. ?This is conducive to the prevention of an
arms race in the region and to maintain security and stability. This
also serves the fundamental interests of the people in South Asia,?
the spokesperson said.

Among other things, the Security Council resolution calls upon both
the South Asian neighbours to stop their nuclear weapon
development programmes immediately, to refrain from weaponisation
or from the deployment of nuclear weapons, to cease development of
ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons and any
further production of fissile material for nuclear weapons.

The Agni-II intermediate range ballistic missile, test-fired on April 11,
is capable of reaching several Chinese cities.
