[OT] I don't know, they just mentioned it over lunch a month ago as "it slows noticably" not sure how slow they meant.

As I recall: They were early adopters and really liked the service initially. But were surprised by recent slowdowns. The suspicion was now that more people are on the cable modems the bandwidth is getting split between them.
At that time, they could live with it since their work habits are not 9-5. They were not planning on changing cause they didn't want to cough up more $$ to install DSL.

Some ISPs bundle DSL service and you get a discount over buying separate DSL and ISP service. Check it out in your area.
