Personally, I'd rather be weak and walk away with a triple, than strong and sitting on a loss. It is certainly a factor that my particular investment goes poof on Friday.

FWIW, I never projected a huge squeeze, instead something that would help push the stock to 17.5 - 20 with perhaps an intraday spike over 20 by Friday. So far as speculated. Short interest for July was 1627463 shares and I bet it was closer to 2000000 before the covering started. I would further speculate that it may not give back much of any gains padded by shorts.

I doubt the value of NTOP will be seriously reflected in IDTC's price till there is reason to believe they will be profitable. That said however, seems a fair trading range for IDTC is in the 20-24 range.

FWIW, block buying seemed to kick in around noon as it appeared IDTC would hold 18. So far 16 blocks for 215800 shares, all but one after 11:59. All but four at ask or better.

Looks to me that it's holding through profit taking and poised to move a little higher.
