Mark, the questions are not based on knowledge of the man, but the various agendas that he failed to conform to....It is a standard tactic on the part of a defense team to try to discredit the investigation, and it is natural that some on the Right, frustrated with the outcome and knowing that Starr is in some sense a part of the establishment, should wonder if there is a "story". Do you think that the fact that the far Left and far Right both fear the Council on Foreign Relations means that they know much about it, or that where there is smoke there is fire?

Isn't there an old test of whether you've been fair and objective, and that test is: if both sides of the dispute don't like you?

John,

<<t is a very debatable matter. Apparently even members of the far right think so. If he were beyond reproach, accusations of his being a plant for the left wouldn't be so prevalent.>>

Why is that poppycock? He is clearly not beyond reproach to members of both sides of the aisle. that is a fact, as both sides question his actions and integrity.
