I was curious, even though I don't own any puts, so I called the CBOE - answer I got was that the puts *can* be exercised, even though you can't sell them.

YAHOO message boards are such a waste of time for investors.
If you buy the right to initiate a position via an option, why wouldn't you be granted the chance to exercise it?

I bet the one's that are talking over at YAHOO don't even know what an option is.
