Time Warner Cable Selects Concurrent Computer Corporation Equipment for Video-On-Demand Test in Tampa Bay
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 18, 1999--Time Warner Cable recently announced that it will test Video-On-Demand (VOD) hardware and software from Concurrent Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:CCUR - news) in Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida.

Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida has been chosen as one of the first two locations where Time Warner Cable will test VOD equipment that will allow customers to instantly call up digital movies, with features like fast-forward, rewind, and pause. Equipment from Concurrent Computer Corporation will be tested in Tampa. Preliminary engineering tests are expected to begin late this summer, with the service becoming available to customers later this year or early next year.
