Thanks for the link Richard.
"In several families, new borns are given gold jewelary as gift. In afluent business class, by the time a girl reaches 5 she will have at least 100 grams of gold jewelary".
If a person looks at that as 100 divided by 5 or 20 grams a year accumulation, we could say the affluent female children are receiving about 1/2 ounce a year. If the newscast was correct about 60 million births a year this would equal 30 million girls. If this is the trend in the "well to do", it is natural for the "not so well to do", to try and duplicate this on a smaller scale.
As people become more wealthy can we look for new demand of 15 million ounces each and every year due to new births alone.
year one 15, year two 30, year three 45. year four 60 year five 75 million ounces.Better start planning for new production by year 5, we'll need all the gold being produced now just to take care of those children's gifts.

WOW TALK ABOUT COMPOUNDING "INTEREST" IN GOLD!
(i know, we can't use the 30 mill figure, but the trend is obvious)
