I currently have no position in DELL. IMO, they are a commodity distributor and therefore once industry conditions turn against them, the company will stop growing, and the stock will have to correct.
This is not the point though.
The point is, a core holding is a great idea, until you realize it should not be a core holding any more. The trick is figuring out when this is. I will be the first to admit, I cannot forecast the future more than a few days out. Any one that thinks they can with great regularity will learn the hard way that they are indeed fallible.
For the longs, I hope the stock is able to move past the $45 area. It may take a pullback and a running start to move through, but in this market, anything can happen.
