Today IDTC putperformed NTOP for the first time. This was needed to show more folks why they shouldn't be bailing idtc for ntop or visa versa. Howards white paper was sorely needed. Not necessarily for content. But face it. He is the visionary and the reason many bought idtc. When he is willing to make bold statements about the future of the company. In a market and sector where others wouldn't dare. IT SAYS A LOT. It says we don't have earnings issues. It says we face the future confidantly. Don't paint IDT with the same brush as the other clecs.

Also, as I'm sure any seasoned investor here knows. IDT's lawyers would not have allowed the release of the white paper or the touting of IDT if there WAS ANY concern about earnings, cash flow or anything else.

From the bullmarket report for tonight:

$$$$$ IDT AND NORTHPOINT REACH AGREEMENT

HACKENSACK, N.J - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Aug. 17, 1999 - IDT Corporation (IDTC)has announced an agreement with Northpoint Communications (NPNT) to deliver SDSL services to major metropolitan areas nationwide. Already
providing SDSL services in the New York-New Jersey area, the two companies have agreed to a major rollout schedule to small and medium-sized businesses across the United States by October 1, 1999.

COMMENT: What can we say? We love to hear that our companies are getting together! We have been big fans of IDT and Northpoint for some time, and deals like this seem to have nothing but upside. This is particularly exciting because we see DSL as being a perfect edition to any small or medium sized business, so this is a market where DSL will really be a big hit. The stock closed today at $18, up 6% again. This one is going into the 20's and will never look back. After all, their position in Net2Phone (NTOP - $26, up 2%), is worth about $16 a share, so you get the rest of the company for $2. This is a Wall Street imbalance that you usually read about AFTER it happens. We bring it to you here in The Bull Market Report BEFORE it happens!
