You are right about there being no party capable of solving India's problems. What India needs is a leader who has the guts to stop corruption at the highest level, give people the freedom to do what they are good at, get rid of all the clerks and the rubber stamps (inherited from the British), secure the country from all threats, internal (unbridled extortion) and external(bomb squads from Pakistan, border threats from China) and watch the country spurt forward into the millenium.

I may be wrong but I think India has more engineers, more doctors and generall more educated people that the population of US. Of course US bribes these people away from India by offering them easy access to jobs, h-1 visas and a good life. That would stop if India offered a good stable life even if it cannot match the US materialistically. I think it will happen.

I have a niece who, fresh out of Engineering, got a job offer from Tata's at Rs. 18000 per month. When I graduated, I got Rs. 250 / mo. So the need to get out of India has been minimised.
