I have TCI @ Home . I would never go back to a regular Modem , however many people do not want to spend $ 42 a month for Internet access so AOL will suit them fine . As good as a cable modem is , when the net is lagged so goes the cable modem , also many times @ Home will saturate an area which will cuase slow speeds on the cable modem. I have never been a real Bull on AOL , but no way will they be locked out of broadband. With their money and Market capital they can buy a broadband company!!
I agree with your comment about the TCI Ad , I dont care for it , actually I dont like any of their adds , they are deceptive about the true speed of the cable modem , no way can you get their advertised speeds unless its in a new market with few users.
