Hey Jim ... we've all bought when we wish we hadn't. I "added" to my SPAZ position at .90. (Cough). I have found two of the most profitable tactics for me are -

a) If I get in a reasonably good level, then I go with the flow and sell when it starts to turn.

b) If it's up 25% or more from it's first leg up, I usually pass. I keep it on my radar though, and usually within a few days you can buy at the same price or less. Of course, you may miss some profits this way, but the law of averages are in your favor I think. I am also often happy with a quick 10 or 15% return if it looks like that's as far as it may go.

I think everyone's been teasing you a bit. The market has been so fickle lately, it probably has more than one person wondering what the future holds. Most of us have never experienced a really serious and ongoing downturn in the market, and there has certainly been a lot of uncertainty out there.

I hope that everyone lightens up a bit on Jim - after all he is part of the "family" that has been making up this friendly and wonderful thread. We all make our own decisions whether to buy or sell.

Jean

Jim, I think you're a very good sport-- this business about "sounding desperate" is weird. Seems to me you're simply posting whatever information and/or opinions you have in as honest way as possible. You post both winners and losers; not many people do that. And if you get excited with a stock that moves or rueful over one that dips....so do we all. You're just open enough to post your feelings. I'm sorry that some people are crossing the line between joking with you and being rude to you.

If a good-natured, honest man is a jinx, then the world needs more jinxes.
