Scott, what do you think of this in terms of digitalme

Take an ISP with a potential of 3 million customers in the early stages of rolling out the high speed internet service.

They decide that they will give everyone subscribing an always on service --- no login required using an ethernet connected to their cable modem. The cable modem connects to their servers at a node, one per X number of customers.

They give everybody a user id that is a formula of first letter of first name and last five letters of last name. You pick your own password but cannot change the user id assigned.

Your user id becomes your email address unless you assign sub ids.

You can access your account over the ethernet with your user id and password and assign sub-ids.

My position is that this system is eminently crackable and provides a number of serious security flaws --- such as the ability to physically locate you by reason of a user id that is your name.

My question is what can digitalme provide this ISP? How would Novell sell this ISP on digitalme?
